Well, I've gone and done it! I've posted the first chapter of a story I eventually hope to turn into a real live book sometime down the road. But in the interim, I've decided to post my work here for people to see and, hopefully, comment on so I can learn what I've done right, what I've done wrong, and how I can improve upon my work so I can become a better writer.
